Necessary chat cookie

__Host-scv-chat identifies a chat session for usage limits and abuse prevention. It is Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict, with a lifetime of up to 24 hours. It is set when the chat session is created after you choose to start a conversation. The cookie does not contain the conversation text.

Necessary purchase cookie

__Host-scv-shop connects digital orders with this browser. It is Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, with a lifetime of up to one year. In the current implementation, when payments are enabled it may be set when the gift panel checks payment availability, before a purchase is made. It is not set while payments are off. Removing it or changing browser prevents automatic display of previously purchased items; it does not cancel or refund an order.

Temporary browser memory

Chat history, continuation tokens and temporary gift previews remain in the open tab’s memory. Chat does not use localStorage. Refreshing clears this temporary state. Language is represented in the page address. When you explicitly choose a language or country, the functional first-party cookie scv_locale remembers the supported locale for up to one year; you can change it with the language selector or remove it in your browser. An explicitly selected market/currency is kept for each language in sessionStorage for this tab’s browsing session; older links may also carry the market in the address. No conversation text or identity is stored in this preference. The application does not add advertising or analytics cookies; its aggregate counters are described in Privacy.

Providers and browser controls

Stripe may use its own cookies on hosted payment pages. Cloudflare may set __cf_bm for bot protection (typically 30 minutes) and cf_clearance after a security challenge; its duration follows the hosting configuration. A deployment audit also observed the hosting-platform cookie __Host-appgarden-visitor with a lifetime of up to 90 days. These platform cookies are separate from SeniorCareVille’s application counters. You can manage or remove website data in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent chat or purchase restoration. Browser settings do not erase records already held by providers.
